LDAP Users getting the following error when trying to login to InfoView / Spectrum Report Manager: Account Information Not Recognized: Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is correct

Description:

When logging into LDAP initially the BOXI defaults to use Enterprise authentication. However, after this initial login subsequent logons do not.

In order to be able to use LDAP for subsequent logons you need to enable the drop down menu allowing you to select this.

Solution:

To enable the drop down menu:

  1. Edit the web.xml file in the following directory:

    C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat55\webapps\InfoViewApp\WEB-INF

    Change the following parameter to true:
    <context-param>      <param-name>authentication.visible</param-name>      <param-value>false</param-value></context-param>

  2. Restart BOE120Tomcat process (Apache Tomcat5 service).

    When you log back into InfoView, a pull down menu will be visible allowing you to select LDAP.
