Description:

After upgrading to R14.1 of CCIMVS and CCIPC, customers may observe marked latency in CCIPC to CCIMVS connectivity.

Solution:

As part of CAICCI's support for TCP/IP V6 CCI requires the host network to be configured honoring all current RFCs. A network should not be purposely configured to not allow 'REVERSE DNS LOOKUPs'. This violates accepted RFCs #1912 & #1033. CCI would await successful completion of a REVERSE LOOKUP upon initial connections and then proceed. If this LOOKUP fails CCI will establish connectivity but the initial connection will see a noticeable delay.
