After installing Jasper Studio Professional, if the license file is not properly applied, a "License Expired" message might be displayed by the "License Manager" similar to below:




The out of the box reports coming in Jasper Reports Server for Service Management solution does not attend customer expectations.

Customer needs to develop custom reports in Jasper Studio Professional to import them into the Jasper Reports server.

After installing the Jasper Studio at the developer workstations, they are not able to use it. A "License Expired" message is displayed.

Service Management 14.1 and upJasper Server (all versions)

The Jasper Studio license is already included on the JasperSoft 6.3 install media. 


1. Launch Jaspersoft Studio Professional and go to Help/License Manager to install the license key. 

2. Click Install new license.

3. Browse to the 'CA_INSTALL\jasperreports.license' file included on the JasperSoft 6.3 install media. 

4. Click Open to install the license file.

5. Wait until the message “The new license for Jaspersoft Studio Professional was successfully installed.” displays. Click OK.

6. Copy the license file to the Jaspersoft install folder, %TOMCAT_ROOT%\webapps\jasperserver-pro and replace the existing file as well


After following above steps, "License Manager" should be displaying:


License Expiration date: Perpetual licence

License Type: Commercial

Product Name: JS_BI
