Issue:
Implementing Log datasets for new features of Sysview and upon startup of Sysview receiving error message:
IXG263E IXGLOGR ATTEMPT TO ALLOCATE A DATA SET FAILED FOR LOGSTREAM GSVX.AUDIT.ADTT.DSB1.
UNSUPPORTED CISIZE USED= 24576 DSN=LOGGER.GSVX.AUDIT.ADTT.DSB1.DOLRSPLX
Defined datasets as specified in documentation so not sure what is wrong as the CISIZE to use is 24576.
Resolution:
Log stream staging data sets must have a CI size of 4,096 (4K).
Log stream offload data sets should have a CI size of 24,576 (24K) for optimal I/O performance.

The error message is occurring because the customer has the stage configured to have a CI size of 24576. The stage data set must be 4096. The offload data set(s) can be anything between 4096 and 24576. We recommend setting the offload data set(s) with a SMS data class that give the log stream a 24576 CI size. Another SMS data class will be required for the stage data set.

There is a note outlining this the the link above:

Note: Only the offload data sets have a CI size value of 24,576 (24K) controlled by the data class specified on the LS_DATACLASS parameter. The stage data set must have a CI size value of 4,096 (4K) controlled by the data class specified on the STG_DATACLAS parameter. This will require two separate SMS data classes: one for the offloads and one for the stage. If SMS ACS routines are used to modify SMS data classes, ensure that the offload and stage data sets are set to the appropriate data classes.
