Question:

Is there a way to see the IP address of a user that updated a record in Service Desk?

Environment:
CA Service Desk Manager (All Versions)
Answer:

Unfortunately, currently we do not log the IP address of the users that access Service Desk in the session logging. However, if it is a web services call doing the update, and you know the userID and approximate time that the update was done, you can look in the stdlogs for that userID around that time frame, and you may see the IP from the incoming call. You would look for a line that shows "web services session created..." - which would also show the userID and the IP that the web services call came from.  Outside of that, we dont have any other way to track and IP address.
