Question:

The CA Systems Performance LiteAgent is installed by default with the ITCM agents. Is there a way to NOT install this component?

Environment:

CA Client Automation - All Versions

Answer:

The best way to ensure that the CA Systems Performance LiteAgent is not installed, while installing the ITCM Agents, remove the PMLA and PMLA_Client folders from the agent package from the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Packages\Public\CAUnicenterDSM\AgentAM+RC+SD\12.0\ENU\Windows_x86.
Similarly, you can remove the folders from other agent packages.

If you would like to uninstall CA Systems Performance LiteAgent from machines, run the following commands to uninstall the AM Client and then the Agent as the AM Client is registered to the Agent and must be uninstalled first:

msiexec.exe /x {B6588B4E-CF7C-4FF7-AC15-62A8FFD2A506} /quiet /norestart
msiexec.exe /x {019094B6-40C9-45AE-A799-CCA2D6AA66A6} /quiet /norestart

Additional Information:

The CA Systems Performance LiteAgent feature has been discontinued starting by Client Automation version 12.9,

but if you upgrade from a previous version the plugin will still be installed and enabled.
