Introduction:

We are having issues with one application not running on a regular basis. I need some advice on this situation...we are now getting this error message by email: "No work selected for Application".

Below is the extract of the tracelog:

 [Sat Mar 20 09:35:01 EDT 2010] [ABS_PRD2] - Retrieve EVENT
 SCHEDMASTER.FIS_CYCLIC_15
 [Sat Mar 20 09:35:01 EDT 2010] [ABS_PRD2] - Event SCHEDMASTER.FIS_CYCLIC_15
 successfully read
 [Sat Mar 20 09:35:15 EDT 2010] [ABS_PRD2] - Simulate EVENT
 SCHEDMASTER.FIS_CYCLIC_15
[Sat Mar 20 09:35:15 EDT 2010] [ABS_PRD2] - No work selected for Application
 FIS_CYCLIC_15

Question:

What is the cause of this message - "No work selected for Application"?

Answer:

"No work selected for Application" is not an error. It is an informational message generated in the event which was triggered but due to the jobs' Run Frequency criteria, no jobs were chosen for execution.

This notification can be turned off by ticking the "suppress notification when no work selected" option in the application properties.
