Is it necessary to rebind CA-CSM Configuration Services plans after applying Datacom SQL PTF RO76960?

CA-CSM Common Service delivers two plans that are impacted by RO76960. This common service (CETN500/CETN600) is delivered and installed with CA Common Services and is used along for CA CSM Software Deployment and Configuration Services.

 

 

For CA-CSM 5.1:  If you have FMID CETN500 installed with your release of CA Common Services and you are using CA CSM

 

Software Configuration Services, you should run rebind after applying RO76960.

 

To rebind the plans follow these instructions:

 

1.            Bring up CA Datacom/MSM MUF.
2.            Rebind CA CSM SQL plans to address HOLDDATA applicable to related PTFs
               requiring a rebind for CSM SQL plans.
   a.         Copy the following sample JCL to your TSO JCL and add a job card. Customize JCL
              according to your site standards.
   b.         Replace ‘CAI.NEWCHLQ’ with the CA Datacom/MSM Database run-time high-level qualifier.
   c.         Replace ‘CAI.THLQ’ with the CA Datacom/MSM Database run-time high-level qualifier.
