Issue:
An internal alarm is being generated by the jvm_monitor probe.

Symptoms:
The jvm_monitor probe is generating the alarm below:

The probe internal used memory 501760KB (196%) is >= 100.0% of 256000KB

Environment:
Environment:- Windows 2008 R2- jvm_monitor v1.46- CA UIM version 7.5
Cause:

Cause:
The probe is creating a child process for monitoring but the child process does not have any heap space setting.

The child process(It is also a jvm) is allowed to use 1/64 of system memory because it does not have a heap setting.

Therefore, if your server has 32GB RAM, then the child process is allowed to use up to 512MB.

However, jvm_monitor probe has an internal memory usage limit in the probe, so it raises the alarm.

Resolution:

Resolution:
You need to configure heap space setting for the child process.
