Internal Server Error from UMP

Issue/Problem

During the administration processing in UIM/UMP, after modification in XML at Nimsoft\probes\service\wasp\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\*.xml
eg: portlet-ext or web .xml,  there is following error message
       "Interver Server Error  before UMP logon windows comes up".

Even if those modified files backup files were restored back into the folder, it still shows the same error message and you cannot login to UMP.

Resolution:

Please view two log files below as examples, such as portal.log and wasp.logIf the above error messages are showing repeatedly, then please check the folder at $Nimsoft\probes\service\wasp\webapps\ROOT\layouttpl\custom\

as to whether this folder is empty or not, and IF if it is empty then restore from the backup for all templates in this folder.

Before this action deactivate dap, dashboard_engine and the wasp probe, after restore then Activate them again.
After this processing UMP logon windows should then be displayed.
