Problem:

When attempting to to query the host in the profile setup, error window pops up with "No SNMP Response" "Unable to get any SNMP information from ...."

Cause:

It may be that the service name definition for snmp has been changed.

Resolution:

Make sure that the community string and IP address are correct.

On the robot running interface_traffic, check that the snmp entry in c:/WINNT/system32/drivers/etc/SERVICES. It should look like this:

snmp 161/udp #SNMP

If the value is other than 161 (often it has been changed to 50161), then reset the entry to 161, save the changes, and restart the interface_traffic probe.

(Please note that the path to etc/SERVICES may be different than shown above depending on the version of Windows.)
