The basic procedure that you will be following to perform the LDS UNLOAD/RELOAD process is documented starting on page 12-16 in the CA Dispatch System Programmers Guide in the section entitled "PROCEDURE FOR REINITIALIZING THE CADDSPL LDS".
Assuming that you want to keep your OLV information, what you will need to do is ADD the OLV/LDS UNLOAD/RELOAD utility jobs into the above documented procedure. These jobs are documented in a different location.
The LDS UNLOAD job is documented on page 13-148 in the CA Dispatch System Programmers Guide in the section entitled "DSEXULD(L) UNLOAD OLV/LDS UTILITY". See this section for details on this process.
The LDS RELOAD job is documented on page 13-134 in the CA Dispatch System Programmers Guide in the section entitled "DSEXRLD RELOAD OLV/LDS UTILITY". See this section for details on this process.
To add the LDS UNLOAD/RELOAD jobs into the complete process:
- Follow the steps from PROCEDURE FOR REINITIALIZING THE CADDSPL LDS until you reach item #3 where it says ISSUE A STOPCADS. You have to decide at this point if you will be running the DSEXULD,or the DSEXULDL "LDS UNLOAD" job.
The DSEXULD job runs with both DISPATCH active and CADZSPLx active.
The DSEXULDL job runs with DISPATCH DOWN and CADZSPLx active.
* Depending on which of the above jobs you decide to run, the LDS UNLOAD process must be completed before you proceed to item #5 where you will be bringing the CADDSPLx task down.
- After the above LDS UNLOAD has completed, continue to follow the steps from the PROCEDURE FOR REINITIALIZING THE CADDSPL LDS section and complete them all, through and including, item #10 START Dispatch.
- You will be adding item/step #11 to your procedures which is where you will be submitting and executing the LDS RELOAD process, job DSEXRLD.
