Installing the CAClarityAddin throws "Error 2343 specified path is empty"

Issue:
When attempting to install the CA Clarity MSP interface using mspsetup.exe, the following error is thrown: "Error 2343 specified path is empty".

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Login to Clarity
  2. Go to Home > Account Settings > Software Downloads tab
  3. Click on either of the two Download links to download the Microsoft Project Interface
  4. Run the mspsetup.exe file and click through download and installation window
Expected results: Running mspsetup.exe should install CAClarityAddin on the system.
Actual results: The CAClarityAddin fails to install and generates error: "Error 2343 specified path is empty"
Resolution:
Note: Take all the necessary precautions when editing the Windows Registry.
  1. Login in to your Windows system where the problem is being experienced
  2. Execute command "regedit" to open the Windows registry
  3. Navigate to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products" 
  4. Search for "Symantec Endpoint Protection"
  5. Locate the OLDER KEY '8CDBxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" 
  6. Backup and delete this old key 
  7. The new key should be "6CE3xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" (do not delete this key)
