Issue:

Can CA workload Automation AE (AutoSys), Workload Control Center and Embedded Entitlements Manager be configured for

failover / High Availability after their initial installs?

Environment:

CA workload Automation AE 11.3.x

Platform - ANY

Database -ANY

Resolution

Workload Automation AE (AutoSys) can be configured in a dual scheduler and/or database mode during the initial install or afterward via changes to the $AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV file or from within the AutoSys Admin UI (Windows).

NOTE - The $AUTOSERV MUST be the same on all the AE machines involved.

Workload Control Center installs can share a common back end database which would place them in a highly available configuration.  This requires a database type of Oracle or MS SQL server.  This can be accomplished either during the initial install or via WCC batch command line utilities such as wcc_config afterward.

Embedded Entitlements Manager systems can be configured in a failover / trusted mode after their initial installs, not during, by using the eiam-clustersetup.jar command on each system.  Please refer to the EEM documentation for details.
