Installed Insight but I do not have access to Database Command Center (GUI).

Description:

Installed Insight 11.6 with no errors however, I am not able to access the Database Command Center (GUI). I do not see that a Clever Path Portal service is created.

Solution:

You can install CA Database Management for Distributed Databases using one or more of the following three installation methods depending on your configuration:

Interactive install

Execute setup.exe (Windows) or setup.sh (Linux and UNIX) and enter all of the information requested then execute the install.

Important! The interactive install on Windows is the only method you can use to install the repository (MDB) and CA DCC web server portal.

  • Simple install

    Execute setup.exe (Windows) or setup.sh (Linux and UNIX) and enter all of the information requested then execute the install.
    Important! The simple install is used to install only the integration components and it does not require any MDB.

  • Silent install

    For Windows, you run the interactive install and select the Generate a response file option. Enter all of the requested information (Installation directories, components to install, repository access, and so on) and a response file named UDCCAgentInstall.rsp is created. You can then run setup.exe in silent mode by specifying the response file location and name on multiple hosts.

    You have selected the Simple Install which does not install the DCC GUI or MDB. In order to install the FULL(Interactive install) DCC GUI and MDB, remove the Simple Install from add/remove or Program Features. Reboot and then run the setup.exe from the DVD .iso. Choose FULL (Interactive install).
