Installation of CA Business Intelligence 6.3 (JasperReports® Server 6.3.0) is stopped due to 'FAIL' in Installation Prerequisites.

Issue:

During the installation of CA Business Intelligence 6.3 (JasperReports® Server 6.3.0), in the ‘Installation Prerequisites’ phase, the following mandatory entries are marked with ‘FAIL’:

Triggered directory privileges

Triggered directory free space (min 100MB)

Environment:
CABI 6.3 (CA Business Intelligence 6.3) (JasperReports® Server 6.3.0)CA Service Desk Manager 17.0
Cause:

The problem is due to the installation being run from the DVD media and not from a local device (after copying the DVD content locally).

The correct steps are documented in on-line documentation (see 'Additional Information' section below).

Resolution:

1. Copy the CABI media locally to the server.

2. Unzip the CABI media and run setup.bat (Windows) or setup.sh (Linux) from the base directory by double-clicking the file or executing from a prompt.

3. Go on with the installation as per on-line documentation (see ‘Additional Information’ section below)
