Environment:

UIM 8.4
Red Hat Enterprise 6
Oracle 11g database

Cause:

Install log shows this:

lax.nl.env.ld_library_path=/opt/CA/SharedComponents/lib:/opt/CA/...

CA SystemEDGE daemon was installed and  running and UIM install was trying to use libraries from CA SystemEDGE.

Resolution:

  1. disable CA systemEDGE daemon
  2. clear any systemEDGE variables from env
  3. drop the database
  4. rename the /opt/CA directory
  5. run the CA UIM install again
  6. install UMP
  7. enable CA systemEDGE daemon
