Following are instructions if you need to modify the number of history (HIST) versions for programs, panels or reports.

How can I increase the number of history (HIST) versions being kept in CA Datacom Datadictionary for CA Ideal programs, panels and reports?

Answer:

To increase the number of HIST versions being kept for CA Ideal programs, panels and reports, you will need to modify the ENTY-HIST-VERS attribute of the PROGRAM table in CA Datacom Datadictionary. Following are instructions on how to increase the number of HIST versions being kept for programs in CA Ideal. The default is 3.

In order to modify the number of history (HIST) versions for programs, panels or reports kept in CA Datacom Datadictionary, you need to run the following steps:

  1. In DDOL, go into Entity Maintenance Mode.

  2. On the Maintenance Menu, choose UPDATE.

  3. From the Update Menu, choose UPDATE ATTRIBUTES.

  4. Enter an entity type of TABLE and an occurrence name of PROGRAM, PANEL or REPORT. The status should be PROD with the password and override
    code for Datadictionary also provided.

  5. Change the ENTY-HIST-VERS attribute and APPLY the change.

  6. Run a DDCFBLD HSD RESET.
