Introduction:
This is a tech doc to advise how to revert any customised events back to the Out of Box state in Spectrum

Question:
In Spectrum how do I revert any customised events back to the Out of Box state

Answer:
To revert Spectrum events to a default Out Of Box state you delete the "custom" event entries in the $SPECROOT/custom/Events folders.

Out of Box in this folder there will be 2 folders:

CsEvFormat (with EventTables folder inside)

CsPCause

To revert the events to the default Out Of Box state:

As a precaution you can backup the $SPECROOT/custom/Events directory to a location outside of the Spectrum install directory then:

Remove the files from the CsEvFormat and CsPCause directories

Remove the entries in the EventDisp files

Remove any custom entries in the AlertMap file.

Note: If you have created custom AlertMap/EventDisp entries for events that are not supported default Out Of Box be careful not to remove the entries for these.

Alternatively you can do this process from Event Configuration by deleting the customised events from Event Configuration also and then save- This will recreate the events as out of box.

You would need to make sure not to delete and events beginning 0xfff as these are custom created events / not modified out of box events.
Make sure if you manually delete them that you also press the "Update Event/Alarm files" button for OC.
In a DSS environment you would need to repeat the process on each Spectroserver and from each instance of Event Configuration on individual OneClicks
