In CA Spectrum, What is the process for migrating from VAIM integration using Virtual Host Manager (VHM) to using UIM for the management of my VMWare devices? I would like to make sure that no duplicate models or alarms are created during the migration.

Question:

In CA Spectrum, What is the process for migrating from VAIM integration using Virtual Host Manager (VHM) to using UIM for the management of my VMWare devices.

I would like to make sure that no duplicate models or alarms are created during the migration.

Environment:
Spectrum 10.2Spectrum 10.2.1Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM)
Answer:

When you implement the UIM VMWare integration, the integration automatically disables the VHM integration and destroys all VHM model types.  This also will not allow the models to be rediscovered unless Spectrum has been reinstalled.

No further steps are needed for the VHM VAIM side once you have integrated UIM VMWare integration.
