Description:

In CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.x, Web Intelligence session cache not cleared even after restarting the Web Intelligence Processing Server. 

The sessions folder in the following path on the CABI server keeps growing, which is not cleared even after restarting the Web Intelligence Processing Server, and results in the OS drive filling up.

CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Data\<CMSNAME>_<PORTNUMBER>\<CMS NAME>.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer\sessions

Solution:

1. Login to the CABI Server

2. Stop Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) via the Central Configuration Manager (CCM)

3. Navigate to the Data directory: CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Data

4. Clear the content of the Data directory

5. Restart SIA via the CCM

6. Access the Central Management Console (CMC) as an Administrator and go to Servers--> Properties of Web Intelligence Processing Server

7. Set the "Recycle Timeout" to 500 seconds

8. Restart the Web Intelligence Processing Server

9. Go to CMC--> Applications--> Properties of Platform Search Application

10. Select 'Platform Metadata' option
