Question:

In APM 10.x is TIM Setting BtStats/Enabled still used to control the TIM Collection of BtStats/Customer Experience metrics

Environment:
APM 9.7, 10.x
Answer:

Since APM 9.7 the collection of BtStats by TIM is no longer controlled by the TIM Setting BtStats/Enabled.

In APM 9.7 there was an RTTM architecture enhancement for user groups.

APM Installation and Upgrade > Install and Configure TIM for CA CEM > Configure RTTM for User Groups

Since that change the BtStats/Enabled property is now stored as flag "enabled" in the new TIM config file btstatsconfig.xml as.

The "enabled" flag is only toggled when the CEM RTTM child service (parented to Tim Collection Service) is started or stopped.

Additional Information:

On a new TIM install the BtStats/Enabled property will now not be visible on the TIM Settings page. However it could still be visible after an upgrade where the config directory (containing file timsettings.db) was backed up & restored.

The APM 9.7 and 10.x wikis will be updated soon to correctly reflect this change. The other BtStats properties documented in the wiki are still valid
