I have CA Softare Asset Manager and IT Asset Manager integrated. The Data Sync is not occurring between SAM and APM.
Data sync is not occurring. The 3 files are successfully being created on SAM server (devices_added_data; devices_updated_data ;devices_deleted_data) , but these files are not moving to Import Drive Input directory where they are then supposed to be reformatted and then imported via Data Importer.
Check the ImportDriver.log in C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\ITAM\Import Driver\logs
If the following error exists the timeout may need to be increased.
FATAL CA.Applications.ImportDriver.Program - GetFilesFromServer() error: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:40:00. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.
Go to file ImportDriver.exe.config in C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\ITAM\Import Driver. Make a backup copy of this file prior to making changes.
Change the Timeout settings to 30:00.
Test changing all of the timeout settings in <binding name="BasicHttpBinding_ISAMService" closeTimeout="00:01:00" openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:10:00"
<binding name="BasicHttpBinding_ISAMService" closeTimeout="00:01:00" openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:30:00"
Save the file, restart the Data Importer Service and retest.
If the timeout message is still being generated increase the settings to 01:00:00.
