Introduction:

I'm running idash 12.0.02 against an oracle db. The autoimport for one of the instances is failing when I use import_check.jar. The database connection tests are successful in the admin tool.

import_check.jar error:
-sh-3.2$ java -jar $AUTOIMPORT/import_check.jar autotrack all 43200
Checking auto import status [autotrack, all, 43200]
Pass autotrack AA3
Pass autotrack AA4
Error - last autotrack import from SA2 happened 227634 seconds ago

How do I resolve the connection issues for the autotrack import?

Answer:

It was would found that the client is missing indexes in Autosys DB. They need to create these.
To find out how this is done:
Step #9 here: https://docops.ca.com/display/CWAI120/Add+a+CA+Workload+Automation+AE+Instance
--------
To import data from the AutoSys database, create an index in the database by following these steps:
Locate the file aedb_index_for_import.sql, which can be found in the iDash install directory.
Run aedb_index_for_import.sql.
This will create an index in the AutoSys database if the auto import feature in iDash is enabled and an existing index isn't already in the database.
