When moving computers to a Domain Manager from different Domain Managers, they are registered on the new Domain Manager and change their status to "Locked by Move". They are also added to the Computer Mover task that runs every 30 minutes by default.
After the Computer Mover task runs, the computers are not moved and remain in "Locked by Move" status.
The Computer Mover task shows failed targets as in the following example:
CA-Client Automation - All versions
The usual cause is related to a Domain Manager not reachable like in the previous example where there were 1 target to be moved from each of the two Domain Managers. There's only one failed target and this means the first Domain Manager was not reachable.
The Computer Mover task tries to contact each Domain Manager for 10 minutes and also has a maximum time to run on each execution for 10 minutes. This means that after try to contact the first Domain Manager for 10 minutes, it also reached the limit of its execution time and was not able to continue with the next Domain Managers.
The limit for the Computer Mover execution time can be changed by updating the following parameter "Computer Move: Task time limit" and increasing its value to allow it to run longer and be able to work with other Domain Managers in case of one is not reachable:
