IEC161I 120-053 and N28503 on ALERTH when upgrading Netmaster

Issue:

Upgrading Netmaster to 12,2 and seeing these errors at startup

N28503 OPEN FAILED FOR VSAM ACB, CODE=X’DC’, DD ALERTH 



When using system symbolics in the RUNSYSIN and INIFILE, the errors are different:

IAIN0167 (NMIPCC) parameter group $NM LOGFILES failed. Error message follows 
BAINWI24 NO LOG FILES ALLOCATED, ACTIVITY LOGGING DISABLED 
IAIN0167 (NMIPCC) parameter group $NM MODSFILES failed. Error message follows 
ADDF09 INVALID DATASET NAME 
IAIN0167 (NMIPCC) parameter group $NM PANELLIBS failed. Error message follows 
IAIN0133 Parameter group $NM PANELLIBS failed, proc=$NMINWIZ, RC=8 
IAIN0167 (NMIPCC) parameter group $AM ALERTHIST failed. Error message follows 
N11A04 INVALID DATASET NAME. 
IAIN0167 (NMIPCC) parameter group $NM MSDB failed. Error message follows

N28502 OPEN FAILED FOR VSAM ACB, CODE=X’80’, DD ALERTH 
IAIN0167 (NMIPCC) parameter group $NM VSAMMONITOR failed. Error message follows 
IAIN0133 Parameter group $NM VSAMMONITOR failed, proc=$NMINWIZ, RC=8 

Cause:
VSAM file corruption when ported over from another system.
Resolution:
The ALERTH VSAM file was corrupted.
Further files are not processed.

This can happen to other VSAM files as well. 

The files showing the 
N28502 OPEN FAILED FOR VSAM ACB
error need to be deleted and redefined using the IDCAMS statements as defined in the S01LCALC job.
