UIM: IBM SVC PROBE UNABLE TO GATHER INVENTORY

Issue:
Unable to configure an ibm_svc probe resource with "Use SSL" option enabled

Symptom seen:

The Resource   "Test" option fails to connect to the IBM Device and displayed following pop-up message: 
-------- 
Failed to query the host '%HOSTNAME% or %IP ADDRESS%' 
The reason for this could of many. Please check 
-The hostname or ip address is illegal 
-The port number is wrong 
-The handler class is wrong 

Exception log: 
(12) login failed, Failed to contact the host 
Check the probe logfile for more information 
Environment:
ibm_svc probe version 1.10 or 1.11 with the default startup section in ibm_svc.cfg 

Example:
<startup> 
options = -Xms256m -Xmx512m -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US 
</startup> 
 
Cause:
The ibm_svc.cfg startup option is missing the -Dhttps.protocols parameter which is needed to connect via SSL
Resolution:
1. Add the -Dhttps.protocols parameter via Raw Configure 

Example 
<startup> 
options = -Xms256m -Xmx512m -Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1.2,TLSv1.1,TLSv1,SSLv3 -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US 
</startup> 

2. Applied the new setting

3. Deactivate the ibm_svc probe

4. Activate the ibm_svc probe 

5. Launch the ibm_svc configuration ui and confirm that Resource "Test" option is successful

6. Wait for the inventory discovery process to complete and then confirm that the Resource shows the Clusters inventory
