Description

What configuration changes are required in CA Service Desk Manager to monitor CA Service Desk's Apache Tomcat instance using Wily Introscope Agent?

Solution

If you would like to monitor the CA Service Desk Manager Apache Tomcat instance with Wily Intrascope, please perform the following:

1.  Edit the NX.env file using a text editor and locate the line @NX_JAVA_OPTIONS . Update this value as shown below:

# Tomcat
@NX_JAVA_OPTIONS=-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=false -Xms512M -Xmx1024M "-javaagent:C:/Program Files (x86)/CA/wily/Agent.jar" "-Dcom.wily.introscope.agentProfile=C:/Program Files (x86)/CA/wily/IntroscopeAgent.profile" -Dcom.wily.introscope.agent.agentName=ServiceDeskTomcat

Note: Text appended to the NX_JAVA_OPTIONS value (in bold) should be adjusted to point to the correct install path of the Wily agent.

2.  Save the changes to the NX.ENV file and recycle the CA Service Desk Manager services for the change to take effect.
