This problem sometimes occurs in eTrust Admin installations.

The cause of this problem has been found to be an attribute value corruption within the eTrust Admin ?Program Exit Configuration? entry residing in the Directory.

The directory entry is:

eTConfigName=Program Exits Configuration, eTConfigContainerName=Configuration, eTNamespaceName=CommonObjects, dc={orgUnit}, dc=etadb

When the eTrust Admin Program Exits configuration is modified via the eTrust Admin GUI, the directory attempts to remove the existing values within the attribute "eTConfigPayload" then update the attribute with a new set of values. It is this modification of the "eTConfigPayload" attribute that is failing with a "Problem: No such attribute or value" error.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps described below:

  1. Backup the directory containing the aforementioned entry, prior to continuing with this procedure.

  2. Dump the entry to LDIF file using the Directory browser ?JXplorer'.

    The entry in this case is:

    dn: eTConfigName=Program Exits Configuration, eTConfigContainerName=Configuration, eTNamespaceName=CommonObjects, dc={orgUnit},dc=etadb

  3. Delete the entry from the Directory using 'JXplorer'.

  4. Load the LDIF entry back into the Directory using 'JXplorer'.

Once the entry is loaded back into the directory, re-test modifying the eTrust Admin Program Exits configuration to confirm that the process now functions correctly.
