Issue: I changed the IT Asset Manager settings to use SSL security. When I try to connect I get an error: "Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel".

 

Environment: Windows

 

Resolution:

Check if the certificate was created using the Fully Qualified Domain Name.

Check the server name entries in the configvalue column of the table al_cdb_configurationparameters. You do this by running the following query against the database:

select * from al_cdb_configurationparameters

If the servername does not match the certificate, backup the table and update the servername entries to have the fully qualified domain name.

Reset IIS and retest.
