Introduction:

When configuring an LDAP monitor, you may encounter an error "Not a valid path".

Instructions:

It may appear confusing as the LDAP Monitor creation page does not have LDAP specific fields, rather it looks a lot like an HTTPS Monitor.

In the path, you will put in your string of baseroot, organization, etc...  If you have a baseroot (-b) and also the organization name (o) in the path, you must separate the baseroot and query string (query command) you are searching by a special curl syntax as below.  This is the syntax for more complex ldap searches using curl.

??sub?objectclass=*

Example for the Path (please note that for any spaces in the path, a %20 must be added):

tssacid=ABC242,tssadmingrp=acids,host=ldap,o=My%20Company,c=us??sub?objectclass=*

In the user field, you should put cn= in front of the user name

Example for the User Name:

cn=ABC242
