There was a tape XXXXXX used by HSM on 1/17 and released on 1/18 and the tape was scratched by TMSCLEAN on 1/18 at 18:00.
It was immediately used for a scratch request by job XXXXXX and was rejected.

Is a protected volume released by RACF immediately when it is scratched by TMSCLEAN?
CA 1 is not going to update a RACF profile to remove these volumes from the list. That will have to be done manually or via something in HSM to tell RACF to remove the volume. Please contact IBM HSM and/or RACF support about this. CA 1 does not update the TAPVOL information in RACF. We will update the TMC and notify the ATL/VTS that we scratched the tape.
