How to verify if the CA SAM Catalog is current


  1. Check the version of the Master Catalog in the CA SAM environment

    Select Admin - > Data Sources
    The Catalog version is stored in the Data Source description for the Data Source "ASP"
    The additional information column is not visible by default, you can enable it by pressing the Table setup icon Figure 1 and select the Additional Information column for display. See the version 'v2.6.2' below:

  2. Get the current Master Catalog version

    Download the newest catalog from the CA-Support home page at:

    Select the appropriate Catalog for your installation (Our example selected the FULL catalog with support from 3_4_6 and forward) :

    Open the ZIP file and locate the file: data_sources_update.csv.

    Open the .csv file with any editor, as below:

  3. If lines 3 - 6 above match what is listed in CA SAM, then the catalog is up to date.

    If not, then the catalog may be updated.
