Question:

The CCC documentation says to update the ccc.properties file with the new encrypted password.

https://docops.ca.com/ca-capacity-management/2-9-3/en/administrating/capacity-command-center-administration/setting-system-properties/encrypt-the-capacity-command-center-database-password

The ccc.properties file in  <ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/WEB-INF/classes only contains the lines:

# DataManager db connection properties

ccc.db.url = jdbc:oracle:thin:@$DatabaseConnectionId$

ccc.db.username = $DatabaseUserName$

ccc.db.password = $EncryptedDatabasePassword$

Where should i put the encrypted password, should I replace $EncryptedDatabasePassword$ ?

Environment:
CCC 2.9.x
Answer:

The ccc.properties file in  <ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/WEB-INF/classes is only a template and should not be edited for this the real file is located in the install folder for CCC  .

The default for this is on windows C:\Program Files\CA\Capacity Command Center 2.9.x\

The content of this file looks as follows :

# DataManager db connection properties

ccc.db.url = jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=ccc)))

ccc.db.username = HYP_DM

ccc.db.password = aRTaVil44rwPPK+PoyG9J3wM6UAYRRbAOoQGKPIpx5s=

You can update the  encrypted password string in here.
