How to restart the SOI environment

Question:

 

How is the best practice to completely restart my SOI environment ?

 

Answer:

 

1. on all connector servers

    open the Service Control Panel and stop the following Services

 

     CA SAM Event Management

     CA SAM Integration Services

 

2. on the SOI UI Server (if it is on a remote server and not the SOI Manager )

    open the Service Control Panel and stop the following Services

 

     CA SAM User Interface Server

     CA SAM Store Indexer

 

3. on the SOI Manager

    run the following command as Administrator

    SOI\tools\soitoolbox --stopAllServices

 

4.  optional steps:

     when SOI is completely shut down you may cleanup the log file folders

     SOI\log

     SOI\jsw\logs

     SOI\tomcat\logs

     SOI\SAMui\logs

 

5. on the SOI Manager

    run the following command as Administrator

    SOI\tools\soitoolbox --startAllServices

 

6. open http://<soi manager>:7090/sam/debug

    click Triage Tests on the left side and verify the Server application startup is Completed

 

7. on the SOI UI Server (if it is on a remote server and not the SOI Manager )

    open the Service Control Panel and start the following Services

 

     CA SAM User Interface Server

     CA SAM Store Indexer

 

8. on all connector servers

    open the Service Control Panel and start the following Services

 

     CA SAM Integration Services

     CA SAM Event Management
