Question:

How do I resolve an error in my CA Datacom MUF startup:

DB00205E - MULTI-USER ERROR - 1125 MUF NOT AUTHORIZED

Answer:

The "1125 MUF NOT AUTHORIZED" error means that one of the loadlibs in your STEPLIB has not been added to your APF list. As noted in the Installation Guide, you will need to run the job in your INSTJCL PDS – APFADD for CA Datacom/DB, AXAPFADD for CA Datacom/AD - or you need to manually add the loadlibs to APF.

Once all the loadlibs in your STEPLIB have been added to APF, this error should go away.

You can check if the datasets are in the APF list with the z/OS console command: D PROG,APF,ALL

Check the datacom datasets are there and also make sure the volume number matches the volume the dataset resides in.

As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA Datacom if you have further questions.
