QUESTION:

Since the zap/ver statements for Special apar GS76262 SIGNON  AND  ACFEXIT:  ELIMINATE  THE  NEED FOR THE ACFEXIT TO HANDLE SEGMENTED CA-ROSCOE SIGNON  KEYS are no longer good with current maintenance applied, what do we need to do to get this special apar refit?

SOLUTION:

We are no longer writing or refitting special apars for Roscoe.  When the functionality of a Special apar is still needed, we add the functionality of the Special apar to Roscoe and control the usage of it with a new parameter, if needed.

For this special apar you should set the new Roscoe initialization parameter SEGMSON=YES. This will cause Roscoe to use the 2nd half of the signon key as the signon id. When this is set, for example, Roscoe will process the signon key of ROSCOE.CONTROL as CONTROL.

NOTE: An ACFEXIT is not required.
