Question:

How do I recreate the WCC Schema for Oracle?

Answer:

1. Make a backup of your monitor views and wcc configuration data:

<WCC_INSTALL_DIRECTORY/bin> wcc_monitor -u user -p password -x filename -plainpwd

<WCC_INSTALL_DIRECTORY/bin> wcc_config  -u user -p password -x filename -plainpwd

2. Stop the WCC Services

3. Drop the UWCC schema tables/objects associated to the wcc database for reporting/monitoring

4. Use wcc_config to point UWCC to use this new schema:

Example:

wcc_config -u user -p password --dbplatform ORACLE --dbuser wccdbo --dbpassword wccdbo_password --dbtnspath /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/client32/network/admin/tnsnames.ora.example --dbtnsname YOUR_DB_TNSNAME

5. Restart the wcc services. Verify that UWCC starts up and you can login. It will be void of a defined server and configuration. The Schema will rebuild when WCC is started.

6. Import the Configuration, recycle services, verify in UWCC.

wcc_config -u user_name -p password -i config_input_file -plainpwd

7. Import Views, recycle, verify in UWCC.

wcc_monitor -u user_name -p password -i monitoring_input_file -plainpwd
