How to quickly find out if your exits have been carried forward when either upgrading to a new release or moving Endevor to a new LPAR?

You are in process of creating a new test bed for a new release of Endevor or testing your current release on a new LPAR and want to quickly know if the exit modules used have been carried over, use the Endevor exit trace.

The quickest and easiest way would be to run an Endevor batch job performing an Endevor add/update action and in your batch JCL add the following statement:

//EN$TRXIT   DD   SYSOUT=*      this will turn on the exit trace

 

In your job output look for the DDname of EN$TRXIT:

If the exits have been brought forward the trace will look like:
