The quickest way to obtain maintenance by solution number
Upon researching and discovering what maintenance may be necessary for an OEM software upgrade customers may not be aware of the simplest method to obtain the maintenance by solution number. This article will show the quickest method to obtain the desired maintenance.
Executing any CA Mainframe product and obtaining maintenance through CA Support Online.
1. Sign on to the CA Support Online website support.ca.com
2. From the Home Page, access "Download Management" by either clicking on the "Download Management" link or choose it from the Menu found in the upper left of the display
3. When the "Download Management:" display appears, click on the "Download by Solution ID" link in yellow at the top of the display.
4. From the next display enter the fix number in the box and click the hourglass
5. The fix number will appear below the box and you can either download it or add it to a cart
a. If requesting multiple fix numbers you must choose to download it or add it to a cart before
requesting the next fix.
b. For multiple fixes, it is probably more efficient to add them to a cart and download the cart all at once
1. The cart will consist of a zip file containing each requested fix
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 as often as needed.
7. Once downloaded, the fixes can be uploaded to the mainframe to apply
