Question:

Where are the log files that we need to monitor in CA Asset Portfolio Manager?  We'd like to monitor the application and any running processes.  

Environment:
CA Software Asset Manager, 4.x and above
Answer:

There are several different locations you can monitor for error log information: 

1.  General Error log (Admin-Monitoring-Error Log)

2.  Import logs (any log from running an XML)

3. Cron Job Logs  (Admin-Configuration-Cron Jobs)

4.  PHP logs - review the PHP.INI file for the log file location

If the error_log = syslog, then the php errors log to the Event Viewer -> Windows application log

5.  Event viewer -> windows application and system logs
