Introduction:
With pu utility, logmon probe can check the status of nas probe in other hubs. The pu utility is now available as a package in web archive. Before following below procedure, make sure pu utility is deployed or available in local robot

For more information about pu utility:

Instructions:
1. Deploy logmon probe in secondary/HA hub with a secondary nas probe deployed.

2. Create a profile with mode 'command' to run below command:

"C:\Program Files\Nimsoft\bin\pu" -u administrator -p {pass} /{domain}/{hub}/{robot}/controller probe_list "nas”

specify a proper check interval and enable 'Generate Alarm' option in this profile

3. Create three watcher rules to check port, pid and process state returned from command

For port use regular expression: /port.*\d{1,}\s{1,}-1/

For pid use regular expression: /pid.*\d{1,}\s{1,}-1/

For process state use regular expression: /process_state.*\d{1,}\s{1,}(?!running)/

Specify alarm messages in rules raised on matching above regular expression.

4. Apply change and restart logmon probe.

When nas probe in primary hub is not in running status, alarms will be raised in secondary nas and AO profiles if defined will be triggered to notify user.

Additional Information:
Use full path to pu.exe if the nimsoft\bin folder has not been added to system PATH.
