Introduction:

How to copy the EEM users from the EEM r12.51 box to the other EEM r12.51 box?

Background:

 

Environment:
EEM 12.51.
Instructions:

A. Backup the database

1. Run the "dxserver stop all" on the command prompt.

2. When the dxserver is stopped. Execute the following command:

net stop igateway

3. When the iTechnology iGateway is stopped. Navigate to the following directory: CADirectory_installation_directory/dxserver and execute the following command:

dxdumpdb -f <OPTIONAL FILENAME>.ldif itechpoz

 

*) it is possible to verify the CA Directory installation directory by the below command on the command prompt.

C:\>set | find "DXHOME"

       DXHOME=C:\Program Files\CA\Directory\dxserver

 

 B. Restore the database to the new server.

On the new server: 

1. Run the "dxserver stop all" on the command prompt.

2. When the dxserver is stopped. Execute the following command:

net stop igateway

3. Move the ldif file that was created by #3 in the previous section "A. Backup the database" to the CADirectory_installation_directory/dxserver folder.

4. Open the command prompt and run the "cd %DXHOME%"

5. Run the following command to restore.

dxloaddb itechpoz <ldif FILENAME THAT dxdumpdb COMMAND CREATED>
