Introduction:

How to change the Security Authentication Type for Unified Self Service manually, in case the USS administrator is not able to access the USS Control Panel to change it through the Admin interface?

Background:

The Authentication Type was set to 'UserId' during the USS installation, however, the EEM, the User Authentication Filter in LDAP attribute Mapping is set to use: sAMAccountName, such as: "(&(objectClass=user)(!(objectClass=computer))(sAMAccountName="

In this case, nobody is able to login to USS user/admin interface.

The Authentication Type in USS should be changed to 'screenName'

 

It must be changed manually.

Environment:
Unified Self Service 14.1 / 17
Instructions:

. Go to the  ?:\Program Files\CA\Self Service\OSOP\portal-ext.properties 

. Change the row:

company.security.auth.type = UserID

to

company.security.auth.type = screenName

. Recycle the USS services
