Introduction:

Instruction to locate or check the version information in different scenarios is described in this document.

Question:

How do I locate the EEM version information, if I need the ‘full’ version number?

Environment:

Windows and Linux

Answer:

Scenario 1:

To locate the EEM version:

- Login to EEM on your EEM server, and click on the 'About'

- You will see the version number included in the provided information

Scenario 2:

You might run into scenarios where you are unable to log into the UI. In such scenarios the easiest way to check the version is from the configuration file.

Windows:

1. Edit C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\iTechnology\iPoz.conf, and look for a line <Version>, and the line would look like below (ex.)

    <Version>8.4.225</Version>

2.   You can also extract only the required information from iPoz.conf

C:\>type "C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\iTechnology\iPoz.conf" | findstr "<Version>"

The output would be (example)

              <Version>12.0.0.33</Version>

Linux:

1.Display the contents for iPoz.conf using the cat command, as below from the linux terminal window

    #cat /opt/CA/SharedComponents/iTechnology/iPoz.conf

and look for a line <Version>, and the line would look like below (ex.)

     <Version>8.4.225</Version>

2. 2. You can also extract only the required information from iPoz.conf

               #cat /opt/CA/SharedComponents/iTechnology/iPoz.conf | grep "<Version"

               The output would be (example)

                    <Version>12.51.2.11</Version>
