How To License CA Client Automation?

 

Environment:  

CA Client Automation - All Versions

 

Answer: 

Starting in Version R12.8 of Client Automation licensing of the product itself has been dropped

and only the contracted product license agreement with CA Technologies is considered.

 Version 11.x and 12.x still rely on CA.OLF files being valid and installed in the product.

Updated Licensing for Client Automation 12.8

Starting with Client Automation 12.8 the formal license file check has been superseded by model where product usage is based on having a valid license and maintenance agreement with CA Technologies. You no longer have to add the license file when installing or upgrading.
