Installing a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) or OCX (Object Linking and Embedding Control Extension) is normally accomplished through an executable installation. However, some add-on applications for Internet Explorer require registration of the DLL and OCX files manually


How to Install Internet Explorer DLL or OCX?

Please follow this procedure as follows

1. Open Command prompt as Administrator

2. Change directory to OCX File Location : OCX File Location : $USM_HOME$\view\webapps\usm\explorer\scripts\

3. Run the below command

regsvr32 <ocx file path> <FileName>.<ext> 

example: regsvr32 $USM_HOME$\view\webapps\usm\explorer\scripts\ dashboard.ocx

Note: '$USM_HOME$\view\webapps\usm\explorer\scripts\' folder should contain the dashboard.ocx file
