Introduction:
Sometimes, can't Start and Stop the DevTest components either as Services or executable's and seems the processes are in hung state.
Question:
How to handle hung processes in DevTest?
Environment:
All supported DevTest environments.
Answer:
You can end the DevTest hung process as below:

. In Microsoft Windows:  Open the Task Manager and look for the specific DevTest process which is in hung state and "End the Task".
. In Linux/Unix..: You can use "ps -ef | grep java" command without quotes and this should provide a list of all the running DevTest processes. Get the process id of the specific service which is in hung state and delete it with "kill -9 processId" command without quotes.
