Introduction:

This document shows how to find the version information for UMP, UIM, and gathering the probe version information.  For ease of use, this can be performed directly from a server that Infrastructure Manager is installed on, which can either be a primary or secondary hub.  Open a web browser and perform the following steps to gather this information:

Finding UMP Version Information

UMP Version Information will be at the following URL path:

http://$PATH/html/version.txt

Be sure to replace $PATH with the web address of UMP.

Finding CA Unified Infrastructure Manager (CA UIM) 

  • Windows:

Navigate to the UIM server you need version information from, open a web browser and input the following information:

$PATH\versions.txt

Where $PATH is the location where you installed Nimsoft. Generally C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft

  • Linux:

Navigate to the UIM server you need version information from, open a web browser and input the following information:

$PATH\versions.txt

Where $PATH is the location where you installed Nimsoft. Generally \opt\nimsoft

 

The output of the versions.txt file will look similar to what is shown below:

For example in 8.0
install_date: "date of install", product_name_abbrev: UIMServer, product_version: 8.0
and 7.6 is listed as.
install_date: "date of install", product_name_abbrev: NMServer, product_version: 7.6

Using Infrastructure Manager to Find Probe Version Information(IM)

  1. Open Infrastructure Manager and Navigate to a robot or hub probe that you would like to to find version information for.
  2. Scroll to the right and find the Probe Version Column.
