Introduction:

Getting all  the events from CA Spectrum database based on severity.

Question:

How to get all the events based on severity in CA Spectrum?

Answer:

This can be achieved by running the following command in the spectrum server.

Open the command prompt and type bash -l and then type the following command

find $SPECROOT/custom/Events $SPECROOT/SS/CsVendor -name EventDisp -exec egrep -e ' A *5' {} /dev/null \; >> test.txt

In the above command the highlightened 5 shows the severity. The following are the numbers need to change  for the severities.

5--->suppressed alarms in the database

1 --> minor alarms

2 --> major alarms

3 --> critical alarms

Once the above command ran successfully you can see the file “test” created in the respective location as follows.

If you open the above test file you can see as follows . The yellow color high lightened are the events which are having the severity as suppressed. Like the same change the severity numbers in the command and get the events based on severities.
